Since 2014, the Modapa Team has been conducting a research project on long-term care, which has specifically focused the price elasticity of the demand for professional home care of the disabled elderly. Two closely related aims were assigned to the project: first, assessing a set of values of this elasticity for different populations and different types of care, second proposingeconometric strategies to overcome the shortcomings of available data on long-term care prices.

The Modapa team organises in Paris on June 19th 2019 a scientific workshop dedicated to the project :

-The first part of the day will be devoted to the presentation and the discussion of the empirical results produced regarding the price elasticity of the demand for professional home care.

-The second part aims to open the discussion on methodological issues faced by economist when working on long-term care.
